Training helps improve communication between you and your dog, strengthens the bond between you, and helps your dog make good choices when trying to navigate our often confusing human world.
Absolutely yes, older dogs can learn new things. It may take a bit more time and patience, but we can work with dogs of any age to improve your relationship.
No, we do not offer what is known in the industry as "board & train" programs. We believe that the best person to teach your dog is YOU. You live with your dog. You interact with your dog. You understand what you would like from your dog. Sending your dog away does nothing to strengthen the human/animal bond between the two of you, and often does more harm than good.
That is really an impossible question to answer, for any trainer! It depends on so many factors; nature of the issues, stress level of the dog, your experience level as the dog's guardian, how frequently you are able to practice, how quickly you learn, how quickly your dog learns, and many more. Dogs are sentient beings and no two are exactly alike. So the answer is nobody really knows.
Our rates are listed on the About page. We are completely transparent about our pricing. The only variable is the mileage fee, if applicable. We include one hour of driving (30 minutes each way) in all of our private in-home lessons. Anything over that is charged at $10 per extra 15 minutes. Until we have your address, we can't quote you an exact amount for mileage.
