Dale is the Owner/Trainer/Behavior Consultant at Dale’s Dog Training Academy LLC, located in South Mills, NC. With 15 years of experience working with dogs, she is a contributor to the Positively Expert Blog on Positively.com, as well as a noted presenter on a variety of topics including Volunteering in a Shelter: Win/Win/Win, Setting Up a Bark Free Shelter Volunteer Program, So You Adopted A Dog, Canine Body Language, and more. She has appeared on many dog related podcasts and has been interviewed for international publications. Victoria Stilwell (television celebrity dog expert from "It's Me or the Dog") and Dale have been affiliated since 2010. They share the goal of educating dog owners and the public regarding the benefits of using positive reinforcement training methods with our canine companions. Many people still hold the belief that punitive techniques are best and that dogs only learn by being punished for what they do wrong. Dog training has come a long way in the last 15 years and science has proven again and again that rewarding behaviors that you want is a far better, easier, safer and more pleasant way to train your dog.

It’s time to start re-thinking dog training.  Dogs respond much better to positive reinforcement and owners are often amazed at the quick results they can achieve with their dogs. Training is fun, simple and extremely effective.
